Spontaneous poncho

So I took my sewing machine to be repaired and discovered a yarn shop that I didn't know was there. Less than a week later and this had happened.

    Lovely poncho. I remember when the crocheted ponchos came in when I was a little girl about 1970. Mum made me a blue and white alternate row one and a matching beret.
