Bubble Making a guest post by Tall Girl

A few days ago I went Bubble Making with my friends.

It is a bit like learning to scuba dive but you just swim around the pool with the tank and mask.

Anthony was our teacher. He was great! [Mummy says he really is great and if you want to dive on St Helena you should visit his website]

First he talked about the signals for ok and up.

Next he showed us how to use our regulators for breathing.

After that we tried it out.

I was a bit scared at first but once we had got used to it, we swam round the shallow end of the pool.

Then Anthony asked us if we wanted to go to the deep end. One of my friends and I were too cold but my other friend wasn't and he said yes.

At Brownies we were going to take a picture of a brownie boot in a weird and wonderful place. We thought doing it at Bubble Making was a good idea...

So we did it under water!

This is me with my tank and mask on under water.

This is my friend O saying 'ok'!

And this is my friend M saying 'ok' too.

At the end we were very tired and cold but we had a lovely time.

Once we were dressed we had a chat and ate the snacks Mummy had packed for us.

I'd like to try scuba diving again when I am old enough to learn properly.

  1. Well done Tall Girl, that looks like lots of fun, even if it was cold & scary sometimes and you have some lovely pics to remember it by. Xx

  2. Wow well done! What an adventure! I'll bet no one else gets a photo of a Brownie boot underwater with scuba gear. I love that it's called bubble-making.
